Products

The Products module is your catalogue of the things you sell or provide — a place to keep the services and goods you offer, with their pricing, organised and searchable.

Product types

Every product has a type:

  • Service — something you do or deliver as a service, such as consulting, design work, maintenance, or coaching
  • Goods — a physical product or tangible item you sell

The type helps you organise your catalogue and can be used to filter when searching.

Viewing your products

Go to Products in the left sidebar. The list shows each product's name, type, unit price, currency, and unit of measure. Use the search box to filter by name or tag.

Adding a product

  1. Click Add product at the top right of the Products page.
  2. Fill in the details:
    • Name — the product or service name (required)
    • Type — Service or Goods
    • Unit price — the price for one unit
    • Currency — the currency the price is expressed in
    • Unit — the unit of measure (for example: hour, day, piece, item, licence)
    • Description — optional details about what is included
    • Tags — optional labels to help you group and search
    • Tax Rate — optional; which of your account's tax rates applies to this product when it's used as a line item on a generated Offer or Invoice
  3. Click Save.

Editing a product

Click the edit icon next to any product to open the edit form. Update the fields you need and click Save.

Deleting a product

Click the delete icon next to a product and confirm the deletion. As with editing, existing records that reference the product are not affected.

Grid and List view

Use the toggle above the list to switch between Grid view (a card per product) and List view (a compact table). Your choice is remembered the next time you visit the page.

Import & Export Free

On all plans, including Free, you can bulk-import and bulk-export your product catalogue.

To import products:

  1. Click Import at the top of the Products page.
  2. Upload a CSV, Excel (.xlsx), or ODS file. The file must include a header row with the column names matching the expected fields (Name, Type, Unit Price, Currency, Unit, Description, Tags, Tax Rate).
  3. Review the preview and confirm the import.

If a row's Tax Rate column matches the name of exactly one of your account's tax rates, the imported product is linked to it automatically. If it matches none or more than one, the product is still imported but left without a tax rate, and a warning lists which rows need fixing by hand afterwards.

To export products:

  1. Click Export at the top of the Products page.
  2. Choose your preferred format: CSV, Excel, or ODS.
  3. The file downloads to your device immediately.
